days. That places the film 26.7 percent behind the $32.534 M five-day start of Boo! A Madea Halloween. |
| Warner’s Geostorm held steady in a very close second with $1.527 M. Geostorm trailed Boo 2! A Madea Halloween by just $35,457 for the day. Geostorm increased a strong
45.1 percent over Monday. While Geostorm continues to perform slightly ahead of its modest expectations with a five-day launch of $16.287 M, in the bigger picture the film is performing poorly domestically with its
price tag in mind. Geostorm is running 35.9 percent behind the $25.421 M five-day gross of last year’s London Has Fallen. |

| Universal’s Happy Death Day continued to claim fourth place with $883 K. That represented a healthy 37.1 percent increase over Monday and a sizable 48.9 percent decrease from last Tuesday.
Happy Death Day continues to exceed expectations and impress with its low-budget in mind with a twelve-day total of $42.200 M. Happy Death Day is running 4.4 percent behind the $44.155 M twelve-day gross of
2015’s The Visit. |
| STXfilms’ The Foreigner was up one spot from Monday to move into fifth place on Tuesday with $864 K. The Foreigner was up a very strong 53.7 percent over Monday and down a respectable
43.8 percent from last Tuesday. The Foreigner has grossed $24.608 M in twelve days, which is towards the higher end of expectations. |
| Sony’s Only the Brave fell one spot from Monday to land in sixth on Tuesday with $857 K. Only the Brave was up 42.5 percent over Monday, which represented the film’s second straight
healthy daily hold. The five-day start for Only the Brave stands at $7.461 M, which is on the low end of the film’s modest expectations. |
