The film is running just ahead of the $30.000 M six-day start of 2015’s The Visit (another strong low-budget performer from Universal and Blumhouse). BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend take of $11.7 M for Happy Death Day.

STXfilms’ The Foreigner took in $868 K to remain in third. On the heels of Tuesday’s strong daily hold, The Foreigner was down a very sharp 43.6 percent on Wednesday. The Foreigner continues to run towards the higher end of expectations with a solid six-day start of $16.582 M. That places The Foreigner 21.5 percent ahead of the $13.647 M six-day launch of 2010’s The Spy Next Door. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend gross of $6.8 M for The Foreigner.
