Warner’s Blade Runner 2049 took in $3.557 M on Tuesday to lead the daily box office for a fifth straight day. Blade Runner 2049 was down 20.4 percent from Monday’s performance, which was
inflated by Columbus Day in the United States and Thanksgiving in Canada. The five-day start for Blade Runner 2049 stands at a significantly softer than expected $40.781 M. Blade Runner 2049 is running
4.9 percent behind the $42.868 M five-day launch of Alien: Covenant earlier this year and 26.9 percent behind the $55.799 M five-day haul of 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road. |
Fox’s The Mountain Between Us was up three spots from Monday to move into second place on Tuesday with $1.344 M. The Mountain Between Us was down a slim 5.1 percent from Monday, which
represented the day’s strongest daily percentage hold among wide releases. The Mountain Between Us continues to run in line with expectations with a five-day take of $13.311 M. That places the film 9.3 percent ahead
of the $12.180 M five-day gross of last year’s The Finest Hours. |
Universal’s American Made was up four places from Monday to claim third with $1.095 M. American Made declined 17.3 percent from Monday and a respectable 45.5 percent from last Tuesday.
The twelve-day total for American Made stands at a solid $33.239 M. American Made is running 21.0 percent behind the $42.068 M twelve-day take of last year’s Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. |
Fox’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle was down one spot from Monday to place in fourth with $1.004 M. Kingsman: The Golden Circle decreased 30.4 percent from Monday and a respectable
45.3 percent from last Tuesday. Kingsman: The Golden Circle has grossed $82.986 M in 19 days, which places the film 5.6 percent behind the $87.938 M 19-day total of 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service. |
Warner’s IT slid one spot from Monday to round out Tuesday’s top five with $882 K. That represented a 38.4 percent decline from Monday and a very solid 36.2 percent decrease from last Tuesday.
With a 33-day take of $307.562 M, IT continues to venture into uncharted waters for a horror film. IT is likely to continue to display very solid holding power throughout the rest of the ongoing pre-Halloween
season. |
Focus’ Victoria & Abdul was up two spots from Monday to claim sixth place with $593 K. Victoria & Abdul registered a healthy daily per-location average of $811 from 732 locations and was
down 16.4 percent from Monday. Victoria & Abdul has grossed a promising $7.290 M in 19 days and should continue to display strong holding power going forward. |
