By Daniel Garris

Universal’s American Made took in $1.253 M on Wednesday to lead the daily box office for a third consecutive day. American Made was down a sharp 37.7 percent from Tuesday’s performance. The six-day total for American Made stands at $21.318 M, which is on the high end of expectations. American Made is running 25.7 percent behind the $28.675 M six-day start of last year’s Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend gross of $9.0 M for American Made.

Fox’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle held steady in a close second with $1.169 M. Kingsman: The Golden Circle declined 36.3 percent from Tuesday and a sizable 47.4 percent from last Wednesday. Kingsman: The Golden Circle has grossed $70.824 M through thirteen days. The film is running a slim 2.4 percent behind the $72.583 M thirteen-day haul of 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a third weekend take of $7.5 M for Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

Warner’s IT grossed $1.025 M to remain in third place. IT slowed 25.9 percent from Tuesday and a solid 42.1 percent from last Wednesday. The 27-day total for IT stands at a massive $294.275 M, which leaves the film just $5.725 M away from reaching the $300 M domestic milestone. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that IT will take third place this weekend with $9.7 M.

The encore presentation of Fathom Events and Screen Media Films’ Jeepers Creepers 3 placed in fourth on Wednesday with $436 K from just 669 locations. Yesterday’s performance was down 75.5 percent from the film’s initial one-night performance on Tuesday, September 26. The two-day event total for Jeepers Creepers 3 stands at $2.214 M.

Sony’s Flatliners and Warner’s The LEGO Ninjago Movie placed in fifth and sixth with respective daily grosses of $405 K and $402 K. Both films continue to perform below expectations, as The LEGO Ninjago Movie has grossed an underwhelming $36.653 M in thirteen days, while Flatliners has grossed a modest $8.117 M in six days. For the weekend, BoxOfficeReport is predicting that The LEGO Ninjago Movie will register $6.5 M and that Flatliners will take in $2.9 M.
