| Lionsgate’s The Hitman’s Bodyguard took in $1.672 M on Tuesday to lead the daily box office for a twelfth straight day. The Hitman’s Bodyguard was up 47.7 percent over Monday and down a
solid 41.3 percent from last Tuesday. The twelve-day total for The Hitman’s Bodyguard stands at $42.631 M. The Hitman’s Bodyguard is running 46.1 percent ahead of the $29.179 M twelve-day gross of
War Dogs at this time last August. |
| Warner’s Annabelle: Creation held steady in second place with $1.127 M. Annabelle: Creation increased 29.7 percent over Monday and decreased a respectable 46.7 percent from last
Tuesday. Annabelle: Creation passed the $80 M domestic mark yesterday and has grossed a stronger than expected $80.208 M in 19 days. That places the film 6.6 percent ahead of the $75.246 M 19-day take of 2014’s
Annabelle. |
| The Weinstein Company’s Wind River grossed $819 K to remain in third. Wind River was up 55.6 percent over Monday and up 99.7 percent over last Tuesday when the film was playing in a
moderate 694 locations. Wind River has grossed $11.376 M in 26 days, which places the film 31.1 percent behind the $16.510 M 26-day haul of last year’s Hell or High Water. |
| Bleecker Street and Fingerprint Releasing’s Logan Lucky continued to claim fourth place with $709 K. Logan Lucky increased 48.4 percent over Monday and decreased just 32.6 percent from
last Tuesday. Logan Lucky has grossed a softer than expected $16.096 M in twelve days. The film is running 22.4 percent behind the $20.748 M twelve-day total of 2013’s Side Effects. |
| Warner’s Dunkirk rounded out the day’s unchanged top five with $704 K. Dunkirk was up 47.7 percent over Monday and down only 30.1 percent from last Tuesday. Dunkirk has
grossed $173.658 M in 40 days. That places the film 3.4 percent ahead of the $167.932 M grossed by 2014’s Interstellar after 40 days of wide release. |
| The Weinstein Company’s Leap! remained in sixth place on Tuesday with $671 K. Leap! was up a very strong 70.8 percent over Monday’s performance. Leap! has grossed $5.793 M in
five days, which is in line with the film’s modest expectations and 46.6 percent behind the recent $10.848 M five-day launch of The Nut Job 2. |
