Sony's Jumanji: The Next Level grossed $3.456 million on Wednesday to lead the daily box office for a sixth straight day. Jumanji: The Next Level was down a sharp 45.2 percent from Tuesday's performance. The film passed the $70 million domestic mark yesterday and has grossed $72.595 million through six days. Jumanji: The Next Level is running a slim 0.9 percent ahead of the $71.914 million grossed by 2017's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in its first six days. With Disney's highly anticipated Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker entering the marketplace on Friday, BoxOfficeReport is expecting Jumanji: The Next Level to experience a sharp second weekend decline with a predicted $26.5 million.

Disney's Frozen II took in $1.730 million to remain in second. Frozen II held up nicely again yesterday, as the film was down 35.2 percent from Tuesday and down only 15.0 percent from last Wednesday. With an exceptional 27-day gross of $372.330 million, Frozen II is currently $28.408 million away from surpassing the $400.738 million final domestic gross of 2013's Frozen to become the highest grossing Walt Disney Animation Studios film ever domestically in its initial run. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Frozen II will gross $12.0 million in its fifth weekend.

Lionsgate's Knives Out held steady in third place with $1.139 million. The critically acclaimed Rian Johnson directed film declined 28.1 percent from Tuesday and just 18.4 percent from last Wednesday. Knives Out has grossed a stronger than expected $82.537 million through 22 days of release. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a fourth weekend take of $5.3 million for Knives Out.

Disney and Fox's Ford v Ferrari was up one spot from Tuesday to claim fourth on Wednesday with $519,431. Ford v Ferrari decreased 23.6 percent from Tuesday and 24.4 percent from last Wednesday. With a healthy 34-day gross of $99.824 million, Ford v Ferrari is set to surpass the $100 million domestic mark today. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a sixth weekend haul of $2.2 million for Ford v Ferrari.

Warner's Richard Jewell was down one spot from Tuesday to round out Wednesday's top five with $500,132. That represented a 39.4 percent decline from Tuesday. The six-day start for the Clint Eastwood directed Richard Jewell stands at a softer than expected $6.541 million. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Richard Jewell will take in $2.5 million in its second weekend.
