Warner and New Line’s IT Chapter Two grossed $4.521 million on Wednesday to lead the daily box office for a sixth consecutive day. That was down a sharp 43.5 percent from Tuesday’s performance. In comparison, 2017’s IT declined 30.8 percent on its first Wednesday to gross $7.908 million. IT Chapter Two has grossed a very healthy $109.068 million through six days, though the film is also running a significant, but largely expected 28.0 percent behind the $151.508 million six-day launch of IT. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that IT Chapter Two will gross $38.5 million in its second weekend.

Lionsgate’s Angel Has Fallen held steady in second place with $561,878. Angel Has Fallen declined 40.5 percent from Tuesday, but just 33.5 percent from last Wednesday. The 20-day total for Angel Has Fallen stands at a stronger than expected $55.466 million. That is 6.3 percent higher than the $52.160 million 20-day take of 2016’s London Has Fallen. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a fourth weekend take of $3.6 million for Angel Has Fallen.

Universal’s Good Boys grossed $482,050 to remain in third. Good Boys was down 36.3 percent from Tuesday and down only 27.9 percent from last Wednesday. Thanks in part to continued good word of mouth, the 27-day take of Good Boys stands at a stronger than expected $68.626 million. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Good Boys will gross $3.5 million in its fifth weekend.

Sony’s Overcomer took in $351,516 to continue to claim fourth place. Overcomer decreased 41.8 percent from Tuesday, but was down a slim 21.0 percent from last Wednesday. The low-budget Overcomer continues to perform in line with expectations with a solid 20-day total of $25.940 million. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a fourth weekend take of $2.5 million for Overcomer.

Universal’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and Disney’s The Lion King placed in fifth and sixth with respective daily grosses of $271,265 and $266,684. To date, The Lion King has grossed $530.181 million through 55 days and Hobbs & Shaw has grossed $165.311 million through 41 days. BoxOfficeReport is predicting respective weekend grosses of $3.0 million for The Lion King and $2.4 million for Hobbs & Shaw.
