is widely expected to finish in second place this weekend, behind the debut of Universal’s Us. Captain Marvel was down 39.9 percent from Tuesday and down a very respectable 46.8 percent from last Wednesday. The
thirteen-day total for Captain Marvel stands at an impressive $282.25 million. That is 7.3 percent ahead of the $263.04 million thirteen-day take of 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a
third weekend gross of $34.5 million for Captain Marvel. |

internationally and $812.2 million globally. Current international totals by market for Captain Marvel include $137.3 million in China, $37.8 million in South Korea, $33.7 million in the United Kingdom, $26.7 million in Brazil,
$26.1 million in Mexico, $19.6 million in Australia, $17.4 million in Indonesia, $17.0 million in Russia, $16.3 million in France, $14.2 million in Germany and $13.0 million in India. |
| Lionsgate and CBS Films’ Five Feet Apart was up one spot from Tuesday to move back into second place on Wednesday with $987,976. Five Feet Apart was down a respectable 36.3 percent from Tuesday’s
performance. The six-day start for Five Feet Apart stands at a stronger than expected $16.72 million. The film is running 15.3 percent ahead of the $14.50 million six-day gross of 2017’s Everything, Everything. With the
aid of strong word of mouth, BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Five Feet Apart will gross $8.0 million in its second weekend. |
| Paramount’s Wonder Park was down one spot from Tuesday to place in third with $984,227. Wonder Park was down a sharp 42.2 percent from Tuesday and trailed Five Feet Apart by a very slim
$3,749 for the day. Wonder Park is outpacing expectations with a six-day start of $19.51 million, but in the bigger picture the film is still performing modestly with its sizable price-tag in mind. Wonder Park is
running 35.6 percent ahead of the $14.39 million six-day launch of last year’s Sherlock Gnomes. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend take of $9.3 million for Wonder Park. |
