| Disney’s Captain Marvel grossed $8.59 million on Wednesday to lead the daily box office for a sixth consecutive day. That represented a sizable, but reasonable, 41.4 percent decline from Tuesday’s strong
performance. The six-day start for Captain Marvel stands at an exceptional $187.65 million. Captain Marvel is running a healthy 6.6 percent ahead of the $175.998 million six-day start of 2017’s
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (which declined 37.8 percent on its first Wednesday to gross $7.53 million). BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend take of $73.0 million for Captain Marvel. |
| Internationally, Captain Marvel grossed an estimated $17.4 million on Wednesday. To date, Captain Marvel has grossed $362.6 million internationally and a massive $550.2 million globally. Current
international totals by market for Captain Marvel include $104.1 million in China, $27.3 million in South Korea, $21.0 million in the United Kingdom, $17.0 million in Brazil, $15.6 million in Mexico, $13.3 million in Australia,
$13.1 million in Indonesia, $12.6 million in Russia, $10.6 million in France, $9.4 million in Germany and $9.1 million in India. |
