Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is running in line with expectations and 28.5 percent ahead of the $36.278 million five-day start of 2008’s Mamma Mia! (which increased 8.3 percent on its first Tuesday to gross $4.433 million). |

| Disney’s Ant-Man and The Wasp continued to claim fourth place with $3.316 million. Ant-Man and The Wasp was up a strong 45.9 percent over Monday and down a solid 39.8 percent from last Tuesday
(when the film was still playing on IMAX screens). With a 19-day gross of $170.694 million, Ant-Man and The Wasp is running a healthy 25.1 percent ahead of the $136.456 million 19-day take of 2015’s Ant-Man. |
| Fellow Disney release Incredibles 2 rounded out Tuesday’s top five with $2.507 million. Incredibles 2 continues to hold up nicely, as the film increased 37.8 percent over Monday and decreased just
26.5 percent from last Tuesday. Incredibles 2 stands in ninth place on the all-time unadjusted domestic list with an incredible 40-day gross of $562.037 million. |
