Tuesday, which represented the day’s sharpest daily percentage decline among wide releases. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has grossed $193.413 million through six days. The film continues to perform towards the higher end of
expectations and is set to surpass the $200 million domestic mark today. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is running 9.9 percent ahead of the $175.998 million six-day haul of last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
(which decreased 37.8 percent on its first Wednesday to take in $7.528 million) and 30.5 percent behind the $278.389 million six-day start of 2015’s Jurassic World
(which declined just 18.3 percent on its first Wednesday to register $19.895 million). BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend gross of $63.0 million for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. |
| Disney’s Incredibles 2 held steady in second place with $10.232 million. Incredibles 2 was down just 25.4 percent from Tuesday, but still down a sizable 48.2 percent from last Wednesday.
Incredibles 2 has grossed an incredible $384.163 million in thirteen days and is set to zoom past the $400 million domestic mark on Friday. The film is running an impressive 19.5 percent ahead of the $321.581 million
thirteen-day take of 2016’s Finding Dory (which was down 29.0 percent on its second Wednesday to register $10.415 million). BoxOfficeReport expects Incredibles 2 to stabilize nicely this weekend with a third weekend
take of $46.0 million. |
| Warner’s Ocean’s 8 continued to claim third place with $1.533 million. Ocean’s 8 was down just 23.4 percent from Tuesday and down a very solid 35.2 percent from last Wednesday. The 20-day total
for Ocean’s 8 stands at a very healthy $105.200 million. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Ocean’s 8 will gross $7.5 million in its fourth weekend. |
| Fellow Warner Bros. release Tag grossed $1.171 million to remain in fourth. Tag declined a slim 22.3 percent from Tuesday and just 30.1 percent from last Wednesday.
Tag continues to perform towards the high end of expectations with a solid thirteen-day take of $34.185 million. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a third weekend gross of $5.3 million for Tag. |
| Fox’s Deadpool 2 rounded out the day’s unchanged top five with $657,334. Deadpool 2 decreased a very slim 19.6 percent from Tuesday and a solid 36.3 percent from last Wednesday. The 41-day total
for Deadpool 2 stands at a strong $306.288 million. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a seventh weekend take of $3.4 million for Deadpool 2. |
