43.7 percent decrease from last Tuesday. The 19-day total for Avengers: Infinity War stands at $558.725 million. Avengers: Infinity War is running 19.3 percent ahead of the $468.271 million 19-day take of 2012’s
Marvel’s The Avengers and 9.0 percent ahead of the $512.686 million 19-day gross of Black Panther earlier this year. |
| Internationally, Avengers: Infinity War grossed an estimated $20.9 million on Tuesday, which included a $13.3 million take from China. The film’s five-day start in China stands at $230.2 million. To
date, Avengers: Infinity War has grossed $1.106 billion internationally and a massive $1.665 billion globally. |
| Warner and New Line’s Life of the Party held steady in second place with $1.896 million. Life of the Party was up 48.6 percent over Monday’s performance. Life of the Party passed the
$20 million domestic mark yesterday and has grossed $21.059 million in five days. The film is running towards the lower end of expectations and 23.5 percent behind the $27.544 million five-day start of 2016’s The Boss. |
| Universal’s Breaking In grossed $1.686 million to remain in third. That represented a 33.8 percent increase over Monday. Breaking In also passed the $20 million domestic mark yesterday and has
grossed $20.577 million in five days. That is towards the higher end of expectations and places the film 20.4 percent ahead of the $17.092 million five-day launch of 2016’s Almost Christmas. |
| Lionsgate, Pantelion and MGM’s Overboard continued to claim fourth with $1.012 million. Overboard increased 38.1 percent over Monday and decreased a very solid 36.1 percent from last Tuesday.
Overboard is being aided this week by strong word of mouth and by playing in an additional 383 locations. The film’s twelve-day total stands at $31.103 million, which is on the high end of expectations. |
| Paramount’s A Quiet Place rounded out the day’s unchanged top five with $788,520. A Quiet Place was up 27.0 percent over Monday and down 17.8 percent from last Tuesday. The 40-day total for
A Quiet Place stands at a much stronger than expected $171.018 million. |
