Paramount’s A Quiet Place was up one spot from Tuesday to move back into first place on Wednesday with $2.257 million. A Quiet Place has led the daily box office for nine of the past thirteen
days. A Quiet Place declined 28.0 percent from Tuesday and a solid 38.4 percent from last Wednesday. The thirteen-day total for A Quiet Place stands at an exceptional $108.035 million. A Quiet Place is running
an impressive 30.8 percent ahead of the $82.605 million thirteen-day take of last year’s Split. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that A Quiet Place will take first place this weekend with a third weekend gross of $21.0 million. |
Warner Bros. and New Line’s Rampage was down one spot from Tuesday to land in second place on Wednesday with $1.981 million. That represented a very sharp 41.8 percent decrease from Tuesday’s
performance. Rampage has grossed $43.656 million in six days, which is in line with pre-release expectations. Rampage is running 8.3 percent behind the $47.612 million six-day haul of 2016’s Central Intelligence.
It should be noted that Rampage is performing significantly stronger internationally than it is domestically. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend gross of $20.0 million for Rampage. |
Universal’s Blockers was up one spot from Tuesday to claim third on Wednesday with $878,535. Blockers was down 27.4 percent from Tuesday and down a very solid 34.3 percent from last Wednesday.
Blockers passed the $40 million mark yesterday and has grossed $40.427 million in thirteen days, which is on the high end of expectations. With STXfilms’ I Feel Pretty and Fox Searchlight’s Super Troopers 2 both
entering the marketplace on Friday, BoxOfficeReport is predicting a third weekend take of $5.8 million for Blockers. |
Warner’s Ready Player One was also up one spot from Tuesday to take fourth place on Wednesday with $830,842. Ready Player One declined just 26.3 percent from Tuesday, but was still down a sizable
46.5 percent from last Wednesday (when the film was still playing on IMAX screens). The 21-day total for Ready Player One stands at a solid $117.837 million. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Ready Player One will
gross $7.3 million in its fourth weekend. |
Universal’s Truth or Dare was down two spots and a sharp 38.2 percent from Tuesday to round out Wednesday’s top five with $783,050. Truth or Dare has grossed a stronger than expected $21.720
million in six days and is performing nicely with its low production budget in mind. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend haul of $7.0 million for Truth or Dare. |
