| Lionsgate and CBS Films’ Winchester placed in a close third with $697 K. Winchester was down just 55.0 percent from Sunday’s deflated performance. The film passed the $10 M domestic mark
yesterday and has grossed $10.004 M in four days. Winchester is running in line with its modest expectations and 27.0 percent behind the $13.709 M four-day launch of last year’s Rings over the same time frame. |
| Fox’s The Greatest Showman claimed fourth place with $627 K. The Greatest Showman declined 54.6 percent from Sunday and a very slim 11.2 percent from last Monday, as the film continues to display
tremendous holding power. The Greatest Showman has grossed a stronger than expected $137.998 M in 48 days, which gives the film a tremendous current total gross to opening weekend ratio of 15.67 to 1. |
| Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures’ Hostiles rounded out Monday’s top five with $549 K. Hostiles was down only 35.8 percent from Super Bowl Sunday, which represented one of the day’s stronger
daily percentage holds among wide releases. In comparison to last Monday, Hostiles slowed a solid 39.9 percent. Hostiles has grossed $21.372 M after eleven days of wide release and an additional five weeks of platform release. |
