With not much expected of the overall theatrical box office this weekend and there also being more films than usual to discuss, this weekend's box office forecast will be a bit less detailed (but not shorter) than usual. Happy Halloween!!

Universal and Blumhouse's Black Phone 2 is coming off of a respectable second weekend hold in which the horror sequel declined 52.8 percent to place in third with $12.90 million. Black Phone 2 could prove to be an especially strong performer on Halloween Friday, especially with not a lot of major theatrical options for horror fans this weekend. A decline of just 26.4 percent from last weekend would transfer into a weekend take of $9.5 million for Black Phone 2 this weekend. That would move the film past the $60 million domestic mark.

After unofficially having a 2-day debut in the area of $19 million back in late August, Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters A Sing-Along Event returns to theatres for an entire weekend this weekend. This time around KPop Demon Hunters A Sing-Along Event will be playing in significantly more locations than last time, thanks in part to AMC Theatres playing the film in its locations this time. At the same time, the streaming hit isn't getting as many average showtimes per location this time around and in general, this weekend could perform like a traditional second weekend for a high-profile release. KPop Demon Hunters A Sing-Along Event could gross $9.0 million this weekend (though as with the film's opening weekend, official estimates and grosses are not expected to be reported by Netflix).

Last weekend, Sony and Crunchyroll's Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc exceeded expectations with a first place debut of $18.03 million. In addition, during the midweek this week Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc has been holding up better than usual for an anime film (though some of that may be due to the film skewing more adult than usual for anime). Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc appears to be building upon the property's pre-existing fanbase and could also get a bit of a Halloween boost on Friday. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc will decrease 60.1 percent this weekend to gross $7.2 million, which would be a very good second weekend hold for an anime film.

Paramount's Regretting You also had a nice start last weekend with a second place take of $13.69 million. Early daily holds for Regretting You have been encouraging, though at the same time the film will likely experience some initial front-loading due to its built-in fanbase of Colleen Hoover fans. The Halloween holiday will also likely affect Regretting You more negatively this weekend than it will most other films. Regretting You could decline 50.3 percent to take in $6.8 million this weekend.

On the re-issue front, Universal is giving a 40th Anniversary re-issue to Back to the Future this weekend. The classic Robert Zemeckis directed blockbuster will be playing in 2,290 locations and will be getting some IMAX showtimes. It feels like anticipation for the re-issue of Back to the Future is neither too high nor to low by current theatrical re-issue standards. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Back to the Future will arrive with $5.0 million this weekend.

Focus' Bugonia had a promising start in platform release last weekend with $709,848 from just 17 locations, for a per-location average of $41,756. This weekend Bugonia expands to 2,043 locations. The Yorgos Lanthimos directed film starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons has gone over very well with critics, but in the long term, Bugonia likely won't be as mainstream friendly as 2023's Poor Things was (which was also directed by Lanthimos and also starred Stone). As for this weekend, Bugonia could take in a respectable $4.2 million.

Disney and 20th Century's Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere is coming off of an underwhelming fourth place debut of $8.89 million last weekend. This weekend Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere will have to deal with both the Halloween holiday frame and losing its IMAX showtimes. A sizable decline of 53.9 percent would give Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere a second weekend take of $4.1 million.

This weekend also sees the re-issue of The Twilight Saga from Fathom Entertainment. Starting on Wednesday with 2008's Twilight (which grossed $1.55 million for the day); each of the five Twilight films will be playing for a single day from Wednesday through Sunday. Based on how Fathom Entertainment has reported similar previous re-issues, it is expected that grosses for all five Twilight films will be combined (in addition to being reported separately). With that in mind, The Twilight Saga as a collective could gross $4.0 million over the three-day weekend and $7.0 million in its first five days.
