After a record-breaking Halloween weekend start of $80.0 million last weekend, Universal and Blumhouse's Five Nights at Freddy's will have no problem remaining at the top of the box office this weekend. In being driven in large part by the younger, built-in fanbase of the Five Nights at Freddy's video game series, Five Nights at Freddy's has displayed significant initial front-loading after Friday's break-out opening day performance. At the same time, Five Nights at Freddy's will likely be extremely weekend heavy throughout its run (due in part to just how young the film's audience is skewing) and will be helped out by its strong reception among its audience (the film received an A- rating on CinemaScore), which could help lead to repeat business among fans. This weekend Five Nights at Freddy's could also receive an additional boost from not much being expected of this weekend's new releases, which will help Five Nights at Freddy's hold ono a very high percentage of its showtimes per location from last weekend. Five Nights at Freddy's will also be adding 114 new locations this weekend (for a total weekend location count of 3,789). Look for Five Nights at Freddy's to drop a sharp, but reasonable 63.8 percent for a second weekend take of $29.0 million.

AMC Theatres Distribution's release of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour concert film continued to impress last weekend with a second place take of $15.43 million. Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour concert film also started to stabilize last weekend by declining 53.5 percent; especially when considering that the concert film had to deal with both the debut of Five Nights at Freddy's and Halloween weekend festivities last weekend. With the debut of Five Nights at Freddy's and Halloween weekend both out of the way, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour concert film should continue to stabilize further this weekend. A solid 33.9 percent decline would transfer into a $10.2 million second place gross for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour concert film this weekend.

Somewhat surprisingly, Paramount and Apple's Killers of the Flower Moon is coming off of a sharp second weekend decline in which the film decreased 59.9 percent to land in third with $9.32 million. While it remains to be seen if Killers of the Flower Moon is able to stabilize in the long-term, in the short term the film is likely to experience a significant rebound this weekend, due in part to the mentioned lack of new major competition and last weekend's gross being deflated at least somewhat by Halloween weekend. Killers of the Flower Moon will continue to play on IMAX screens this weekend, though the film will be losing some of its IMAX showtimes to Oppenheimer. At the same time, Killers of the Flower Moon will help make up for the loss of IMAX showtimes by opening in 154 additional locations this weekend (for a total weekend location count of 3,786). Killers of the Flower Moon could decline a solid 32.4 percent this weekend to place in third with $6.3 million.

This weekend sees a nationwide expansion for A24's Priscilla. Last weekend the Sofia Coppola directed film about Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley was off to a respectable (but not great) platform start with an estimated $132,139 from 4 locations in New York and Los Angeles. Critical reviews for Priscilla, which stars Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi, have been quite strong. As an Elvis themed film, there is some potential for this weekend's expansion into nationwide release to be a bit stronger than it typically would be with the film's platform performance in mind. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Priscilla will place in fourth this weekend with $4.5 million.

Opening in nationwide release this weekend is Bleecker Street's What Happens Later. The Meg Ryan directed romantic comedy, which also stars Ryan and David Duchovny, will be playing in 1,492 locations. Thus far, critical reviews for What Happens Later have been mixed, but more so positive than negative. What Happens Later could debut with a modest $1.8 million this weekend.
