Poetry by Daniel Garris - Poem 91

Cellulose nitrate moving frames
Dying inside a home of rust
Dreams returning to Earthly dust
Memories dancing into flames

Globe forever turning by waves
Tastes changing with every new gust
Fat suits, remakes and gross bloodlust
Auteurs turning within their graves

Am I complaining just to hear the sound
Of one so in love with his little voice
Or truthfully scarred by all that I miss
Searching endlessly for the new profound
May someday in this love once more rejoice
Til' then I sing this worn verse of sadness

Cellulose nitrate moving frames
Dying inside a home of rust
Dreams returning to Earthly dust
Memories dancing into flames
