Poetry by Daniel Garris - Poem 86 |

Jealousy of the crumbling mind
Not going to engulf again this time
Reclaiming strengths long ago lost
Jealousy tossed away to the side
Glory be to the victorious mind
No longer falling apart with time
Finally ready to carry my own cross
Glory be to the acceptance inside
Laughing, it returns to torment
Jealousy enraged grabs my neck
Swearing to never again release
Laughing at the thought it ever left
Raging return of the crumbling mind
Jealous of the world all of the time
At depths unknown burn the fires hot
Raging cross to carry forever inside
