Poetry by Daniel Garris - Poem 81 |
|
Am I only repeating what was said
Throughout the passing of the years
The echo amplifies inside my head
As my voice slowly beings to spread
One by one among my endless peers
Am I only repeating what was said
No more unique than a single breath
All that is heard without my ears
The echo amplifies inside my head
In all the words over time I've read
By both frauds and true pioneers
Am I only repeating what was said
Maybe I already wrote this instead
And though no memory of it appears
The echo amplifies inside my head
And in whatever may lie ahead
In this question lives great fears
Am I only repeating what was said
The echo amplifies inside my head
