Paramount’s A Quiet Place took in $3.665 million on Wednesday to lead the daily box office for a sixth consecutive day. A Quiet Place declined a respectable 31.7 percent from Tuesday’s performance. A Quiet Place continues to shatter expectations with a strong six-day breakout start of $63.404 million. That is 93.7 percent ahead of the $32.732 million six-day launch of 2016’s The Girl on the Train and 28.9 percent ahead of the $49.191 million six-day haul of last year’s Split. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend gross of $32.0 million for A Quiet Place.

Warner’s Ready Player One held steady in second place with $1.553 million. The Steven Spielberg directed film was down 33.9 percent from Tuesday and down a very sharp 61.2 percent from last Wednesday’s inflated post-Easter performance. Ready Player One has grossed a healthy $102.043 million in 14 days. That places the film 12.9 percent ahead of the $90.418 million 14-day take of 2013’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation. BoxOfficeReport is predicting Ready Player One will take in $13.2 million in its third weekend.

Universal’s Blockers grossed $1.337 million to remain in third. Blockers declined 34.5 percent from Tuesday’s take. The six-day haul for Blockers stands at $25.368 million, which is a bit ahead of expectations. Blockers is running 17.6 percent ahead of the recent $21.563 million six-day start of fellow R-rated comedy Game Night. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend take of $12.8 million for Blockers.

Disney’s Black Panther was up one spot from Tuesday to claim fourth place on Wednesday with $632,898. Black Panther decreased 31.5 percent from Tuesday and a sharp 54.7 percent from last Wednesday. Black Panther is the third highest grossing film of all-time domestically with a massive 55-day gross of $667.829 million. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Black Panther will gross $6.1 million in its ninth weekend.

Roadside’s I Can Only Imagine was down one spot from Tuesday to round out Wednesday’s top five with $606,559. I Can Only Imagine declined 34.4 percent from Tuesday and a sharp 53.3 percent from last Wednesday. I Can Only Imagine continues to pad its breakout status with a 27-day total of $70.678 million. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a fifth weekend gross of $5.1 million for I Can Only Imagine.
