By Daniel Garris

Disneyís Black Panther took in $10.204 M on Tuesday to easily lead the daily box office for a twelfth consecutive day. Black Panther was up 26.0 percent over Monday and down 51.1 percent from last Tuesday. Yesterday saw Black Panther pass by both last yearís Wonder Woman and 2010ís Toy Story 3 to move into 20th place on the all-time unadjusted domestic list with $421.916 M through just twelve days of release. Today Black Panther will pass by 1994ís The Lion King, 2006ís Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Manís Chest and 2013ís The Hunger Games: Catching Fire to move into 17th place on the all-time domestic list. Black Panther is running an impressive 8.3 percent ahead of the $389.473 M twelve-day take of 2012ís Marvelís The Avengers.

Black Panther grossed $10.1 M internationally on Tuesday. That brings the filmís international total to $326.3 M and current global haul to a massive $748.2 M. International totals through Tuesday by territory include $43.1 M in the U.K., $37.4 M in South Korea, $20.0 M in Brazil, $18.4 M in Australia, $18.3 M in Mexico, $16.8 M in France, $11.8 M in Germany, $10.9 M in Taiwan and $10.3 M in Indonesia.

Warner and New Lineís Game Night held steady in second with $1.902 M. That represented a healthy 46.0 percent increase over Mondayís performance. In comparison, 2016ís Office Christmas Party increased a similar 45.5 percent on its first Tuesday to gross $2.043 M. Game Night passed the $20 M domestic mark yesterday and has grossed a solid $20.211 M in five days. The film is performing in line with expectations and just behind the $20.337 M five-day start of Office Christmas Party. Game Night will hope to hold up well going forward, thanks in part to strong critical reviews and good word of mouth.

Paramountís Annihilation grossed $1.213 M on Tuesday to remain in third place. Annihilation was up 24.5 percent over Mondayís take. Like Game Night, Annihilation is also running in line with expectations with a five-day launch of $13.259 M. That places Annihilation 11.5 percent behind the $14.980 M five-day start of last yearís Life, which increased 39.8 percent on its first Tuesday to gross $1.445 M. Thus far Annihilation has already taken in 52.1 percent of the $25.443 M final gross of director Alex Gardlandís Ex Machina back in 2015.

Sonyís Peter Rabbit and Universalís Fifty Shades Freed claimed fourth and fifth place with respective daily grosses of $840 K and $770 K. Peter Rabbit increased 48.8 percent over Monday and decreased 55.5 percent from last Tuesday, while Fifty Shades Freed increased 33.8 percent over Monday and decreased 52.0 percent from last Tuesday. Through 19 days of release, Fifty Shades Freed is running towards the higher end of expectations with $91.139 M and Peter Rabbit has grossed a stronger than expected $72.911 M.
