Sony’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was down one place from Monday to finish in a very close second on Tuesday with $1.014 M. Lionsgate and CBS Films’ Winchester held steady in third place with $960 K. That represented a healthy 37.7 percent increase over Monday’s performance. Winchester has grossed $10.964 M in five days, which is in line with the film’s modest expectations. Winchester is running 25.1 percent behind the $14.634 M five-day launch of Rings over the same time frame in early February of last year, but did have a stronger first-Tuesday gross than that of Rings ($925 K).

Fox’s The Greatest Showman took in $885 K to continue to claim fourth. The Greatest Showman continues to display tremendous holding power as the film was up 41.1 percent over Monday and down a slim 13.5 percent from last Tuesday.
