By Daniel Garris

Disney’s Thor: Ragnarok grossed $2.919 M on Wednesday to lead the daily box office for a thirteenth consecutive day. Thor: Ragnarok declined 35.0 percent from Tuesday and a sizable 52.5 percent from last Wednesday. The thirteen-day total for Thor: Ragnarok stands at a mighty $223.176 M. That places the film 46.8 percent ahead of the $152.041 M thirteen-day take of 2013’s Thor: The Dark World and a slim 0.9 percent behind the $225.235 M thirteen-day gross of Spider-Man: Homecoming earlier this year. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that Thor: Ragnarok will gross $23.0 M during its third weekend.

Fox’s Murder on the Orient Express held steady in second with $2.018 M. That represented a 34.9 percent decline from Tuesday’s performance. Murder on the Orient Express continues to outpace expectations with a six-day haul of $36.139 M. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend take of $14.0 M for Murder on the Orient Express.

Paramount’s Daddy’s Home 2 took in $1.291 M to remain in third place. Daddy’s Home 2 fell a sharp 39.7 percent from Tuesday. Like Murder on the Orient Express, Daddy’s Home 2 continues to exceed expectations with a six-day start of $34.614 M. That places Daddy’s Home 2 29.4 percent behind the $49.059 M six-day take of 2010’s The Other Guys. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend gross of $14.2 M for Daddy’s Home 2.

STXfilms’ A Bad Moms Christmas remained in fourth with $1.028 M. A Bad Moms Christmas was down just 20.5 percent from Tuesday and down a very solid 36.1 percent from last Wednesday. The 15-day total for A Bad Moms Christmas stands at $43.020 M, which places the film 32.4 percent behind the $63.620 M 15-day gross of last year’s Bad Moms. BoxOfficeReport is predicting that A Bad Moms Christmas will take in $6.8 M during its third weekend.

Lionsgate’s Jigsaw rounded out the day’s unchanged top five with $245 K. Jigsaw decreased 29.5 percent from Tuesday and a respectable 47.5 percent from last Wednesday. The 20-day total for Jigsaw stands at a solid $35.228 M.
