By Daniel Garris

Warner’s Blade Runner 2049 grossed $2.463 M on Wednesday to top the daily box office for a sixth consecutive day. Blade Runner 2049 declined a solid 30.8 percent from Tuesday, which could be a good sign for the film going forward. Blade Runner 2049 has grossed a significantly softer than expected $43.244 M in six days. The film is running 4.0 percent behind the $45.042 M six-day start of Alien: Covenant earlier this year and 27.6 percent behind the $59.732 M six-day launch of 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road. BoxOfficeReport is predicting a second weekend gross of $16.8 M for Blade Runner 2049.

Fox’s The Mountain Between Us held steady in second place with $817 K. The Mountain Between Us was down a sharp 39.2 percent from Tuesday. Universal’s American Made grossed $788 K to remain in third. American Made decreased 28.0 percent from Tuesday and a solid 37.1 percent from last Wednesday.
